Expression Abstraction (selected works by the world's leading artists) Mar. 6 - Aug. 11, 1999	Presenting expressionism and abstraction in modern painting and exhibiting figurative as well as abstract works by Edvard Munch, Georges Rouault, Pablo Picasso, Wassily Kandinsky, Jackson Pollok, Joan Miro, Francis Bacon, Antonio Tapies and other popular modern painters.
The Reflection of Tradition on the Iranian Modern Painting Mar. 6 - Apr. 30, 1999	Half a century of painting to from an Iranian school of painting, presenting works by Jalil Ziapour, Ahmad Esfandiari, Abolghasem Saeedi, Mansour Ghandriz, Hossein Zendehroodi, Faramarz Pilaram, Mohammad Ehsaee, Nosratollah Moslemian, Jafar Roohbakhsh, Habibollah Sadeghi, Parviz Kalantari, Mostafa Goodarzi, and other Iranian contemporary artists.
The Sixth Biennial of Iranian Graphic Designers May 4 - Jun. 1, 1999	A collection of graphic works including poster, environmental graphic, packaging, layout, brochure, catalog, book cover, press advertisement and letter design. Each section will receive special awards. On the sideline of the exhibition, there will be lectures and round tables to present critiques and also look into Iranian contemporary graphic design.
Islamic Revolution Reflected in Painting Jun. 6 - Jul. 1, 1999	Exhibition revolutionary values and historic moments of the Islamic revolution mirrored in the contemporary Iranian painting. Celebrating the twenty - first anniversary of revolution on the artists' canvas. On the margin, there will be gathering to examine the artistic characteristics and thematic contents of the revolutionary Iranian painting.
Nature in Iran's Contemporary Painting Jul. 18 - Sep. 5, 1999 (Visit Selected Works)	A selection of realistic and semi-abstract painting of landscape and still life, introduction Ali Mohammed Heydarian, Javad Hamidi, Ahmad Esfandiari, Habib Mohammadi, Sohrab Sepehri, Davood Emdadian, Hossein Sadri, Sirak Melkonian and other leading Iranian artists.
The Fourth Tehran International Cartoon Biennial Sep. 9 - Oct. 10, 1999	An important event in line with achieving an international standing for Iranian cartoon designers. Amateur and professional artists will present their selected works in two categories for an international jury to judge: thematic and free.
The Fourth Biennial of Iranian Traditional Painting Oct. 17 - Nov. 12, 1999	An opportunity to present Iranian traditional painting: a new chance to discover young talented artists, introducing fresh ideas and experiences. The exhibition presents selected works in three categories: miniature, illumination and carpet design.
The Fourth International Biennial of Children Book Illustration Nov. 15 - Dec. 2, 1999	The mysteries and fantasies of the children's world, reflected in the works of illustrators displaying a unique and incomparable world of imagination and innovation. Together with the exhibition of "Green land of dream", a seminar on both illustration and literature appeared in the children books, will be held.
Pop Art Aug. 16, 1999 - Jan. 22, 2000 (Visit Selected Works)	A movement in contrast with Abstractionism of 1950's in the United states. Pop artists, generally, reflected a consumer society in the industrial world. Great works by Andy Warhol, Robert Rauschenberg, Roy Lichtenstein, Jim Dine, James Rosenquist and other important pop artists will be showcased in this exhibition.
The First Tehran International Drawing Exhibition Dec. 5, 1999 - Jan. 7, 2000 more information...	Drawing is the basic for all visual arts, while being a pure art itself. This exhibition can provide the ground for a through competition among artists from all artistic domains.
The Third Triennial of Iranian Contemporary Sculpture Jan. 11 - Feb. 4, 2000	Presenting new approaches towards monument and sculpture design. To achieve this goal, this triennial exhibition tries to promote competition among sculptors and to provide the ground needed for quality critique and assessment. The exhibition will have three sections including statues, frescos and monuments.
